Essential Oil Niaouli

Niaouli Essential Oil belongs to the same family as Tea Tree and shares some properties.

A powerful antiseptic, Niaouli is used in hospitals in France as an antiseptic in obstetrics and gynaecology. It cleans minor wounds - add 5/6 drops of Niaouli to a pint (250mls) of boiled and cooled water and apply directly to the affected area.

A great oil to use in chest rubs as it can be beneficial for respiratory problems.

It is also a stimulating oil so we would not recommend that it is used at night. Niaouli can also be useful for oily skin and acne.

It can also be used in conjunction with one of our wide range of Amphora Carrier Oils to create an uplifting and stimulating massage treatment.

Oil properties

From steam distillation of the leaves and young twigs of the plant (usually rectified to remove irritant aldehydes). Sweet, fresh and camphoraceous odour.
